It seems you are the author for most of my favorite web comics. Gunnerkrieg court- Return of the exile - xylia , I half expect to find most of my other favorites on your list eventually.

I'm afraid Barb can't take any credit from Gunnerkrigg Court. Also, Talismen was written by Steven P. Jones, Barb was "only" the artist.

Barb and Steve worked on the concept/plot of Talismen together. Steve was in charge of the novels and narrative (I think), but Barb certainly had her hand in what was going on.

GC is written by Tom Siddell, btw. Canterrain just wrote a review about it, found here: http://xyliatales.com/reviews.html

That's right- I CERTAINLY cannot take credit for Gunnerkrigg Court. It's one of my favorites, but I had nothing to do with creating it.

As far as Talismen- Steve wrote the novel, The Knightmare Knife, I wrote Return of the Exile. Steve rescripted RoTE, but I wrote the story. It was partly this perpetuated myth that I DIDN'T write it that made me want to start my own project. Amongst other things.

Having read many of Barb's scripts for RoTE, to call her "only" the artist is a great injustice, though I understand why it is easy to confuse.

But this does make me think I should make a point to include the author/artist/creator's name in my review under a top heading. I was originally going to do an about the creator section, but having spoken with various webcomic creators I've wanted to review either they didn't care for it to be in at all, or would have just preferred I copied their own bio section which seems redundant. So I left it out.

Hey wallscaler, have you considered donating a dollar for Barb's excerpt story? Get her a dollar by today and you'll get a neat little chapter of Charlie's life that Barb wrote and just didn't have time to include in the webcomic itself. It is well worth the read, and comes with a couple of pieces of the flashback style art too.

As people have pointed out, Gunnerkrieg Court isn't actually Barbs creation (although she does excel in awesomeness, being responsible for both RotE and Xylia). But then again, I'm fairly certain that Barb is on her way of taking over the entire web, flooding it with great art and storytelling, and we are simply her minions.
My theory is that in a few years, all things awesome will belong to Lady Barb, and that will probably include Gunnerkrieg Court.

So... Yeah, now you know what's in your future. Welcome, new Xyliac!

Oh, right, sorry. I knew Barb also had a hand in creating the story - I just forgot.
