After Sarah was kind enough to send me a fan art piece, I wanted to return the favor! Actually, I plan to do up a few fan arts for my good friends in webcomicdom - I'm long overdue. As well as creating a piece for Miss Liria...

Ooo, gorgeous, Barb! I don't know how you manage to capture characters like that, especially when Sarah has even less pages than you do! I guess that's why you guys are professionals, eh?

Sweet!
I love the way she seems cold- her cheeks are red from the cold... I do love those brown pictures of yours, with the preachment feel. They are so worm, & give your pic some sort of a melancholy feeling, which I like. Less shiny then Tali pics. It feels like those paintings are more "grown-up" & Xylia is far an older crowed.
Great job Barb! & exciting new comic for Sarah!

Now that we're on the subject, did you ever even start on that prize I was supposed to get for winning that last Talismen contest?  If you did, then however incomplete, I'd like to see it.

| Beautiful! She also looks like she could be Neirenn from Inverloch. I think its mainly the hair style that makes the two characters look similiar, though. |

She is so graceful... Lovely!
Personally, I'm more into Disney than manga-style when it comes to character-design, so for that reason Barbs style works better than Sarahs for me. |

You are all far too kind! Sarah's work always astonishes me with its detail, color sense, cleanness, and of course her speed at getting so many pages done! She is my idol!
Soon, I'm going to be creating images for my friends Niko and shhh...Kez in this style. Dont tell!

Wow, I forgot about that one! I had to look it up.
To be perfectly honest? I was really perterbed at your request - it was incredibly exorbitant and not in the spirit of a Talismen fan- more of a self serving idea, so I didn't do it. That's me being the mercurial artist I am. I was SO frustrated in fact, I made the decision to do away with that contest altogether.
At this point, I don't draw anything Talismen even if I had started something. I know it's hard for people to understand, but it's very personal. A bit like a breakup of sorts. Gotta leave it.
I dont know if people will ever be as into XYlia as they were into Talismen. There is no Ollie. ^_^ If Charlie doesn't start 'talking' to me when I write the way Ollie used to, I dont knwo if anyone will really care about him.

Well, I did tell you that it was only an idea, and that you only needed to tell me if it was too much. I'm sorry it frustrated you so much.  Next I would've told you to draw whatever you wanted yourself, since I couldn't decide what I wanted myself.

I don't know about others, but I think I'm going to like Charlie more that Ollie. Not quite yet, there's so much Talismen material and so little Xylia material, but in time I believe Charlie will surpass the Talismen characters. As I wrote in another topic, he has such an aura of wisdom and thoughtfulness on him, I'll most likely appreciate it more than Ollie's humour and self-confidence.

Now that is a pretty pic no doubt about that.
And I am with hothotpot, she does look a lot like Neirenn. Not that is any wrong with that, Neirenn was rather cute.
