If you could meet any author of any time period, and you could ask him/her one question, what would it be?

Oh that's an easy one. Frank Herbert and I would ask him what he had planned for the seventh Dune book. I know his son wrote one but honestly, he's not on the level of Frank Freaking Herbert.

Hard question. Probably best I don't have chance to meet my favourites because I probably would embarass myself by throwing myself at their feet while screaming "Iam not worthy of being in the precense of your greatness" or something like that. Embarassed
But if I had to choose I would like to meet Karin Boye. But I don't have a clue what I would want to ask her.

Okay so this is going to sound lame but I use this answer every time...

If I could meet any author, from any time, it'd be J.R.R. Tolkien and I'd ask him why he had Aragorn just go to sleep instead of die and how could he let Arwen die!?!? I mean Legolas and Gimli had a boat! She could have... Mad

*closes mouth before ranting continues* Shocked

Hmm, that was two questions wasn't it.... Neutral

Maybe: Hi, would you please accept this can of anti-depressants?
It might not have helped, what with everything going on, but still. The world could have used more of her.

One author I would like to meet is Terry Pratchett, and I think I'd like to ask him what Agnes/Perdita is doing nowadays. I've always liked her.

Shakespeare.
Assuming he was.
I would like to walk a bit, see his actors, see his theatre. Talk about his inspiration sources, & what stands behind what he wrote. Or maybe not- maybe it's best we''re not sure what he wanted, what "he meant".

And I would LOVE to meet one of the Greek playwrights, Aychiluse or Sopeklise. Just to hear about their thoughts, opinions, women's rights, dramatic future etc... & of course about the missing plays...

He does seem like a very lovable old man... Wouldn't know what to ask though. Need an editor, perhaps? Razz
