Okay, I need some help here to conduct a test. It is my hypothesis that posting in the shoutbox with a certain browser is causing these issues we've been having (the latest version of Firefox, to be precise). So, I propose a test.

Please post a message, any 'ol message in the shoutbox, and tell me if it shows up or doesn't. Please post your outcome (yes it's there, no it disappeared) and your browser (Firefox, IE, netscape, etc.)

EDIT:
For me, works in IE 7.0.5730.11, but not in FF 2.0.0.11

(for browser editions, go to menu-->help-->about.)

Kezzie.

I have firefox 2.0.0.11 and windows Xp pro.

What happened for me was thus. I tried to post with a period in my name (don't know why I did that really) nothing happened and I realized I had said period and removed it and retried. When I did that, my post did not appear, and yours and hagar's test posts also disappeared, they were there prior to my trying to post and now are gone.

Same thing happened to me, CT. I noticed this problem only started for me when I downloaded the newest version of FF. I guess I'll have to search around for other shoutboxes. Perhaps oggix.
