Okay, finally...

Long, long ago, in a time when I still cherished ambitions of actually posting the first Xylia fanart (which shows just how long ago), I had an idea. It was the idea that Xylia the fairy and Meline the sprite, as two members of the faery realm, might conceivably meet. And so I decided to attempt a portrayal of the meeting of the winged ones.

Attempt being the key word, in multiple senses.

As is now obvious, time passed, and the uncolored outline I managed in my first sitting remained an uncolored outline. Until I finally got tired of it remaining an uncolored outline and said, "Bother everything, I'm going to finish!"

So here it is, finished. Please bear in mind that I make no claims to any kind of skill where drawing is concerned.




P.S. Barb, you now bear the distinction of receiving the first fanart I have ever actually drawn (as opposed to fiddling with and altering images). It may be a dubious distinction, but hey, it's something. Right? Right?

Well, Meline can sort of pull water balloons out of nowhere, actually.

Yeah, it's a lame works-because-Wayfarer-doesn't-have-to-explain-it kind of thing.

Sort of like having wings and wearing a cloak.

This is wonderful! ^_^ I always wondered what Meline looked like, now I know. Perhaps she will make a cameo in the story!

Meline squints at the picture. "I suppose that's what I look like. Sorta. She still can't get my facial expression down. I dunno... this expression may be a bit better than her first attempt at drawing me. Maybe not, though. Hmmmm...."

"Hey, I almost think the Laral and Larel are right: I may not let you draw me anymore."
