Don't know how much of you are familiar with Eva Cassidy, though without knowing it you are probably familiar with one of her pieces.
Eva Cassidy died at the age of 33, unfortunately, and even more unfortunately (in my opinion) nowhere near as famous as she should have been. She had a beautiful voice, no matter what style she sang, and was quite good with the guitar.
Those of you who remember and loved Katharine McPhee's rendition of Somewhere over the Rainbow have actually been partially introduced to Eva. The version McPhee sang was very much based on Eva's rendition.

(And in my opinion, as good as Katharine's version was, and it was good, this is better!)
She also has a wide range of other songs...
I love for instance, Time After Time.

And for somber moods we have Autumn Leaves.

There's a compilation with many of these songs that was released after she died called Songbird. It's a great buy. Truly.
