Or possibly something less nonsensical...

Anyway, hi! My name is Helen, and I've decided to join this forum after being a long-time lurker on both Talismen and LiveJournal. The comic looks interesting, so I'm going to be less lurky and get involved now.

As for a few small facts about me, read below and enjoy the learning:

* I'm nineteen years old, and a full-time student at university studying Creative Writing. It's good fun and I love my time there.
* I'm from rainy England, where we've had the best summer ever. We do love our constant rain and flooding.
* I work at a pub. Ask me about beer!
* My username is from Greek Mythology. Felt like having a cooler forum name than I usually do. (I'm usually JingleBunny... don't ask.)
* I come from a pretty big family, including a niece and nephew. They're both insane.
* I'm insane, too. :D But, y'know, in the good way.
* Um, what else? I'm a rabid Disney obsessive. Seriously, ask Ceri, she'll tell you.
* I know Ceri! She's awesome. :)
* I'm also a webcomic obsessive... um, yeah.

Well, anyway, I think that just about covers it without giving you my life story. You don't want my life story, it's not all that interesting.
So, yeah, nice to be here on the forum! Looking forward to seeing more of the comic.

Welcome Helen!
Hey, I just got something- your real is also from Greek myth!
I love beer, especially European. I love Newcastle beer, it's so woody... I don't think we get other British beers in Israel, maybe some Irish. What's your favorite beer?

Well, I'm not a huge beer-drinker, if I'm honest, but Stella and Carling are both pretty popular in this country. Probably the two drinks I serve the most.

And yes! Helen is Greek, too! *pride*

Salve!
(See what I did just there? I didn't really have anything to say, except hello, but I said it in latin instead so I seem more intelligent than I actually am? Clever, huh?)
So.... how about some beer?
(Just joking, I don't actually drink beer.)

Ceri, lay off the orange juice, it does odd things to your brain. :P

I think, Elle, I would have to say Beauty and the Beast. Best film, best music, best princess, best.. um... candle! But I love many Disney films.
Hola, Bonjour and Hel to you, Ian.

Oh, and Salut! (just because it sounds cool)

Oooo!

Hallo Andromeda! (Now, are you named after the constellation, the show, or is it a reference to your true name and famous names in greek stories?)

And someone from Great Britain? That'll be fun. We can compare language differences. Cause English makes so much sense at times. >.>

For instance! Pub isn't one we use much in the states. We call them bars. I worked as a server in a restaurant that had one, so while I don't drink I had to learn lots about what sorts of alcohol tasted like (without actually trying them too!) and what was popular as well. Ask me about beer and wine too!

Killians seemed to be the beer I served the most.

Welcome Andromeda! And thank you for stepping out of the shadows of lurkdom to show thysef!

My we have a lot in common. I too am Disney obsessive (if you couldnt tell from my style) I think Ceri is way awesome, and of course the insanity thing was covered. ;-)

I may be bugging you a bit for dialogue. As our main character will be spending most of his time in our time frame in southern England, I would love to run some dialogue from the scrip by you from time to time. If you would be up for that!

I realize the Southerners have their own way of talking, just like here in the US, but I think the expressions, colloquialism and what not are fairly similar.

Welcome! ITs great to have you here!

^_^

Terrain - To be honest, I wanted a cool name and asked a friend of mine, who is good a Greek mythology. :P
Pub is a great word. A bar here is more upmarket, usually with cocktails and music and sofas... pubs are where you sit down at a table and have a pint. All good fun. And I've not heard of Killians, I don't think we have it in this country.

Barb - Well, what isn't there to love about Disney? Lets be honest, it rocks all socks. As for dialogue, of course! I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm not actually from the South (am a Midlander), but I do go to uni there. It's pretty much the same slang all over the place. Out of curiosity, any particular Southern towns or cities you'll be using?

Oh, and a general note, please feel free to call me Helen. Andromeda is a new username for me and I keep reading it and thinking 'who's that... oh! It's me!' So, yeah, Helen's fine. :)

Hee hee. Terrain. Yeah... I get that alot with this name. Hence why some people call me CT. But it's different words I've combined. Not Can and Terrain, but rather, Canter and Rain. Names of characters I once roleplayed.

And yea, I think Killians is just around here. And... heh...we call them bars... no matter how grimey or upscale. >.> We're lazy I suppose.
