I am planning to donate soon.

But I just wanted to mention that the picture of Livy on the top right of the main page makes my heart melt.
"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance. I had high hopes of being Evil when I was two, but in my youth I came upon a firefly burning in a spider's web. I saved the victim's life."
"The firefly's?" said the minstrel.
"The spider's. The blinking arsonist had set the web on fire."

I was also thinking on the cash subject Barb, if you have any Talismen merchandise left you might try selling some of that off. You'd probably have to discuss that with Steven though, I don't know.

Things will turn up, just wait and be patient. I know nothing about the webcomic industry, but I do know that you are too good of an artist, (and with the new storyline) writer to just be dropped out of the race.

Have faith things will turn up.

As a reader that decided to actually participate instead of just lurking around (although that being said this is the first time I've ever done so on a comic's forum), I can tell you that the idea of you stopping Xylia scares the holy crap out of me.

This is an amazing comic. Make no mistake about that. You have art skills that I could never live up to (please ignore the fact that that is because I can't draw  ;)), the storyline(s) is(are) incredible, the characters are lovable and it's easy to get hooked and care about them, which is a good thing for ANY artist.

Let me iterate that l know jack squat about webcomics and the industry that revolves around them. Here's what I do know: the most successful webcomics thrive on SIMPLICITY. (Forgive me if this is painfully obvious.) Some of the, ahem, cruder ones out there are three-panel one-strip once-a-day dealios about daily life: jokes, obscure references, faux pas's, etc. Those are the most successful because, well, EVERYONE relates to daily life.

With a more focused storyline, not everyone will relate or like it. You'll attract people associated with a certain subculture of fandom (fantasy, sci-fi, etc.), and they are subject to all sorts of ego-trips as to what does and does not conform to specific cultural rules and the like. IGNORE ALL THAT - STAY PURE! You are here to tell a story - not to debate what is/is not appropriate for people to wear, for the love of GOD. (:D)

I hope this is useful. Hell, I hope it counts as advice! :)
"Be thou a spirit of health or goblin damn'd,/Bring with thee airs from heaven or blasts from hell/Be thy intents wicked or charitable,/Thou comst in such a questionable shape/That I will speak to thee."

Just wanted to say that I think you've got a great comic going here. One thing that I would love to see though is an RSS feed (unless I've completely missed it somehow).

I just started reading the book, and I'll see about donating as funds become available (I'm sure you're tired of hearing that line). ;)
