Sshhh. Leave the title alone. Razz

So, B! Congrats on dumpin' the chumpy job, and gettin' in gear for some freelance! That's exciting news. And it's great to see everybody pitchin' in on that donate bar!

ANYWAY, new page, ya? Scary fairy monkey. I fear that monkey. I cannot tell you how much, but monkeys frighten me, and that one can fly and I never did have a thing for the ones that flew either. So I think he's a good antagonist.

Safe to say Charlie is...what is it again?

Screwed. Very Happy

Hmm... I wonder how exactly will Charlie manage to not only survive, but also take the spear from the ape. The ape looks quite scary, by the way. The close-up on its face is one of my favourite panels so far.

Really, Barb, isn't there any other way to donate? I think the reason I can't use PayPal is because it doesn't accept Visa Electron, only the normal one... -.-'

If you wanted, Krozam, you SHOULD be able to make a paypal account and add your bank account manually. You won't be able to pay with your card, but you could transfer funds as soon as you're a verified member.

Aha, their plan is to frame poor Charles for... um, possession of spear, and threatening of elderly ladies in raincoats...?
Perhaps not.

Love the wings on Brimaz! It seems so... right, somehow... I know I always say this, but I really love the lighting in that first panel. And Charlies face in the long panel! Poor guy...

Hmm... I assume it won't cause any problems that the currency here is Euro? I'd like to avoid creating a permanent account, but if it's the only choice, I guess I can do it.

I actually said "Whoa!" out loud the moment I saw that figure for the first time! A monkey! Very cool! A murderous monkey - even cooler. Yes. I meant that. Poor Charlie, this evening is like Hallucination Highway for the poor bloke. I love the page Barbington. It`s wonderfully done - as always, and I agree, Brimaz` wings are a touch of genious and the closeup on his face is wonderfully done. He really looks threatening and creepy there!

Come on Livvy! You can do it!!

It's good to know Brim brushes his teeth regularly. No cavities or anything. Impressive guy.

On Paypal, the unfortunate thing is, as giving money goes, paypal is the only really reliable and safe service that also doesn't cost tons of money and require some sort of mailing address/p.o box (which in turn would cost even more money).

It's not a good idea for Barb to list her real address on the internet for any reason.

It's too expensive to have a p.o. box for what might amount to a small amount of donations that wouldn't even cover the cost of said p.o. box.

And things like western union where you wire money cost more for the sender than is worth it. And requires travel on both the sender and barb's part.

Paypal is the only real solution that's viable and is accessible to many people.

Writing from work. I'm so bad.

Elle- monkeys scare me too. I never liked em. And I could never draw them either. That was always like my 'I don't do windows' thing as an artist- "I don't draw monkeys or cars!" Of course, as a freelancer I have had to draw both. So it goes.

Originally Brimaz was going to be a lion. But symbolically, I felt the lion as a mythical creature has too much 'noble' baggage to be taken seriously as a villain, so I switched it up to ape. It was partly my daughter's idea. Then of course the flying monkeys homage made me smile...

SI- framed for assault! I love it.

krozam- What Canterrain said is true. I have had a couple other folks ask, but the bottom line is that Paypal is the standard for international online trade. It's the safest for client and business owner, and there are no other options that don't require the same things Paypal does. I am not set up for direct Credit card purchase. Perhaps you have a friend who has access to Paypal? But yes, I have recieved unconverted currancies, all I have to do is ask Paypal to convert it for me, so it really is no big deal on my end.

Ceri- Oh, I'm so glad I got that response from you from this page!

CT- yeah, Brimaz is all about dental hygiene...Hmmm. perhaps a Brimaz Crest commercial is in order....hmmm....

Guh, I cant wait for this scene to end.

Then back to the rain.
Then a dark room.
And then some snow...
and then....well, I can't tell you. That's just saying too much.

A flying evil monkey+ a little dog+ an orphan (boy in this case)= a lot of interesting "Wizard of Oz" thoughts in my head... Is there going to be a storm? & how about some red shows for CC? OMG! i just had the best idea ever! Barb, Elle, Kez- anybody with the talent- drew CC as Dorothy! Or should we wait until there's more cast to do the yellow brick road march? Very Happy

Love the page Barb. I hope livy will bait the ape. Hard.

Huh? What's wrong with a simple account transfer? I can't imagine anything safer and easier than that. But fine, I'll create the account, perhaps it'll also be of use later when making online purchases or donating to another webcomic artist.

Appearance speaking- Charlie IS a scarecrow. I mean, he's got that unkempt look. You know, like he spent the night in a field. So maybe Xylia should be Dorothy? So many thoughts...

And what about December & the little girl (forgot her name)? Hmm...
Ambrosia is so Oz... & of course Livy is Toto... I just wanna see CC in red shows and a blue dress Very Happy!

ARGH! This is so annoying! I'm trying to create that damned PayPal account, but at one point it complains about the form in which I enter my phone number. I've tried every possible form that comes to mind, but nothing works. Evil or Very Mad

Look, I'm sorry you are having trouble. But why don't you contact Paypal instead of yelling about it the "New Page Discussion" forum? Confused These are not problems with Xylia, they are problems with PAYPAL.

As I've said, I cannot put myself out there for personal banking over the internet. Nor can or should anyone else, which is why Paypal and other exchange sites are used. You may be a really great person Krozam, but I have never met you or any one else out there on the internet and cannot put my personal assets at risk by giving out banking information.

It's just the way it is.
