I love that expression. I love it. It is wonderful and beautiful and utilising and practical, and oh so funny in this situation. And also Livvy beating at the door as a porper bodyguard in miniature is also great. In short, the page rolls in awesomeness.

I wonder though, will Livvy get out, or will some other creature show up and we`ll end up with a cool tinsel-fight? Stay tuned, and meanwhile - join me in loving the expression "Who gives a toss" ladies and germs!

Oh, and two thumbs way up for Barbington!

Livy's gonna get a *****. And a shotgun. And there will be blood. OH YES. That reminds me of the dog in Excel Saga, smashing at the door with a mallet, trying to escape...Razz

Another faboo page, B! I am concocting a little banner doo-hicky to go in one of those adspaces for rent..hmm...

Uh-oh. Damn, I really expected him to keep cool. Can't blame him, though: I wouldn't fall for that, but it's mainly because she's nowhere near my type. Well, we know he'll survive, so maybe it's worth it... Razz

Haha, I knew Charlie wasn't all restraint and tidiness! And who would blame him, Tychia is looking mighty schmexy today...
Your lighting skills are amazing, as always! So soft and warm... And sparkly! I think magic is about to happen.

Livys tackle and determined look is priceless, sooner or later I think she'll break out of there, and then there will be hell to pay...

Well, Charlie-boy is also slightly drunk and depressed which I think might have something to do with it as well...and she is slightly suspicious herself. Glowing necklace anyone...?

Ok. Take one part tipsy. Not drunk. But tipsy. One part never done well with people what with being all antisocial and labeled. Take one part never probably actually been with a girl. Take one part, the only person you ever felt like you could love or trust just got married to your best friend. Today. And one part, half naked chick is right there. On top of you. Wanting you. Kissing you. Yes. Yes you would fall for that if you were a man. Many men would fall for that without -all- of that going for them just cause she's half naked and aggressive. No matter how much or how little their type.

That's the truth about men. We're easily taken in. >>

There's a reason affairs abound wherever you go. It's far to easy to give in to temptation that's right there in your face.

I've thought on this alot since Barb showed me the script, and yes I've gone back and forth and back and forth and back and forth on whether it was in Charlie's character to give in. But honestly. The way she presented in on this page. Here. Today. I was convinced without a doubt. Yes. Yes nearly any man of any strength would give in to that.

And that's one heckuva accomplishment.

Go Livy!

Hee hee.. Hey ya'll.

I think a lot of you were surprised by Charlie's lack of...discipline?
I believe a lot of the Xylia readers are young, and have perhaps never been face to face with a situation of this nature.

Like most stories that most people write, my tales are fiction woven together with and around autobiographical bits turned inside out, and Xylia is no different.

I consider myself a very idealistic, very honest, and level headed soul. But I assure you that it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, there are certain times where...instinct takes over....

Add in a few glasses of champagne, and a broken heart, and I promise you that whether or not someone is 'your type' you may be hard pressed to turn away such affections.

Not that I personally knwo anything about that...Ahem.

Some of you are blaming the pendant. Perhaps that's it.

And Livy. Hee hee...Livy Livy. What is up with that little Corgi?

BWHA HA HA!!!

Okay, it's time for my semi-bi-blue-moonly popping out of nowhere, I think.

Hmmmm... what to say? Well, other than, "Great page!"

How about that I love Charlie's voice for internal dialogue? Very Happy So proper and formal. It just makes me grin. Smile And makes me want to "talk" more like that in my internal dialogue, just for the pure fun of it. But then, it may not be too incredible a leap already, and... well, in any case, I think my point can end there. Very Happy

Otherwise... methinks red shinies and sparkles bode not well. Obviously. And otherwise... well, great job once again. Smile

I had a friend who found herself in that situation (not heartbroken and seduced by an evil fairy, possibly by means of magic, but she was a bit lonely and someone showed up and sort of threw himself at her). Afterwards, she was regretting it quite a bit, because that guy was simply no good for her. When I asked her why she hadn't thrown him out, or at least said no, her explanation was this: That would have been embarrassing.
Of course, there was more to it than that, but that was the initial reason, the reason she didn't stop it before it got out of hand.
My point: People do all sorts of funny things for all sorts of funny reasons.
And Tychia is hot. I mean, I'd snog her...

Hmm... Maybe you're right, CT. But still, I'm a bit surprised how little thought Charlie gives to the consequences and the weirdness of the situation. Of course, I've never taken in enough alcohol or been depressed enough to be in that state of mind, so maybe I can't evaluate the situation realistically. Rolling Eyes And as I said, she's not my type. Charlie's taste is most likely different than mine. I wasn't trying to point out any fault in the psychology of the situation.

Wow, you guys are getting deep into motives here! I was thinking "OMG, magic! It's not Charlie's fault!"

Granted, having some schmexy person of the opposite sex on top of you can't help matters. *koff*

-That- is actually the most realistic part to be honest. When we make impulse bad decisions. They are always in the moment. With little thought to consequence. Because it just feels good.

I get the feeling she's not Charlie's type either. She's not supposed to be his type. She's just... there. And that's all it needs to be in this moment at this time. Human's are like that. Abandon all they would normally hold to for a moment of... comfort. Even the wrong kind.

Well, obviously, she's not his type emotionally speaking (Neither Allie or Xylia seems anything like her...). He'd never think of her as a potential girlfriend, I'd say. But hey, she's hot (I mean, there's "SEX" written all over her), she's practically bursting out of her clothes, she's warm and soft and lying on top of him. He is feeling sad and lonely, and he's not... how do you put it? In full control of his mind? What with his history, the way he's probably feeling tonight, and of course the alcohol.
In that situation, she'd be anybodys type. It wouldn't be about any of the persons involved, it would be about numbing the pain.

Or, you know, sparkly magic did it.

But he does give thought to it, this whole page is practically Charlie fighting with himself. He just forgets all the other aspects but the chivalry-thing.

And Ian, I wasn't really talking about mentality. Who gives a toss about mentality in that situation? (Well, okay, I might be a bit bothered by the fact that she seems to be completely nuts, but...) It's just that I don't find Tychia especially hot. Nice body, sure, but that make-up gives me the creeps and I like girls with longer hair. Again, that's just me.
And Ian, I wasn't really talking about mentality. Who gives a toss about mentality in that situation?
Naw, me neither, but in my experience people tend to classify other people pretty fast. And then you get one heck of a shock when you get to know them more, and you have to reclassify. And reclassify again.
She doesn't really look like a girlfriend... At all...
I see your point though, if he found her completely repulsive, it would probably be easier not to be tempted...
