Well, we can be fairly certain that this is the start of the events that will lead to C/C:s assault on the Handbag Duo. So she's up to something... Lying, or just taking advantage of the situation (i.e using the fact that something nasty is after her as an excuse to look up old Charlie, or possibly dumping the nasty on him in order to escape)? Hard to know...

Or, it's her pimp, and she's really just a minor character, only there to show some skin and get us interested... Smile
