Psh, don't be silly Charlie. You can't marry her anyways, you've gotta wait for Xylia, REMEMBER? (But Alli is so pretty on this page . . . wooee, you've got something for red-heads, Barb?)
Dude. That watch's still going? Even my magical watch batteries don't last for more than like 2 years. -_- hehe here's to hoping it stops again soon ^^
I predict that he starts wearing it again, anyways. _________________ "I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance. Sigh... I really like it. It just- I don't know. Sad in a good way. & the art is wonderful. I love the details in his place. Is that an old commercial on the right? like for milk or chocolate? I won't be able to see it on WOIO so I'll never know unless you tell...
Is that watch just begen ticking, or was it ticking for a while??? _________________ "Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness."

I wasn't sure if anyone liked this page at first! <.< (I check my site on breaks at work...) The Shoutbox is broken... so when people leave comments, they disappear. >.<
Anyway- that watch, well... it's not quite ordinary you know. No batteries either. All spring wound. Hmmmm....
The poster on the right is an old ad, yes, but not for chocolate milk. ^_^!! It's for 'Cunard Cruise Lines'. Used to be the 'Cunard White Star Line'. Yepper.
They had a couple little boats you might have heard of before.

oo I know I know! I got the mad powers of google, yo.
*cough* sorry, I won't do that again.
So . . . are you insinuating that Claudius was on the Titanic? Does that explain his aquaphobia?? Whee I love hints. (There are other ships . . . the Britannic seems to be the other major one, and that crashed too, in WWI. But I'm voting for the Titanic. ) _________________ "I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance. Yep, us redgirls (as I call myself) are known for our freckles, hot tempers & breaking-hearts abilities. It's a gift...
See?

Well, we know Claude was aboard a sinking ship, there was these concept sketches with him and Xylia boarding a ship, and then having fun in the water.
And I seem to remember this image of him fleeing from a burning city (towing two children, and a distant figure watching him from a bridge or something? Right?), although I can't seem to find any of those pictures at the moment... I wonder which city that was. London?
So that would explain the phobias. I wonder if these deaths were particularly nasty... He must have died in many different ways, but obviously these two have stuck.
Hm... I wonder what countries Claude is born in? If you see what I mean. Is he always in England?
Ok. Bad Ian, stop asking questions and go write your papers. Go! |

Ian, such a naughty girl. Not doing your work and looking for spoilers! ^_^
Hee hee....
Hagar- that is a beautiful picture of you! You heartbreaker you!
Okay, the redhead thing-
I made Alli a redhead for a few reasons. I considered making her a blonde, but it was a contrast issue with another gal in the chapter. Ahem. (Who you will see very soon...)
Yes, it is a little nod to another character of mine, I will admit.
But also, my dad always loved redheads (like the one he married) so I'm used to guys who adore redheaded women.
And.. C. going from a redhead to a purple-haired girlfriend just made sense. HA!!
Alli wasnt actually his girlfriend, but his friend who he realized he loved. But he was afraid to act on anything. Very afraid of a lot of stuff.
That's all for now. ^_^

Yeah, all guys are afraid of us. Are woman that scary???
With all of his phobias one might say that Claude is a... chicken!

My gosh, is it Thursday already?! I'm coming late to the party! Barb, I had to leave a note and tell you that this is another terrific page. I know you hate drawing backgrounds and worry that people won't like these "slow" scenes, but for me this is what makes you an extraordinary talent. Let other writers stick with event-event-event-event...you let us into your characters' hearts and souls. We get to know them through their actions and through their disappointments and successes, and they become friends to us. We know so little about Claude, yet he already reverberates in our memory more strongly than any mere action hero could. Marry that kind of storytelling with the tremendous art ability you possess, and the end result is just wonderful to behold.
Can you tell I liked this page? I did. I really really did. :-) |
