Here I am to share a still-fresh obsession of mind. I found out about this guy and his band in late summer of '06 on a CBS Sunday variety show and was immediately intrigued. I love his voice, his lyrics, and...and his beard.
Hasidic reggae! It's a new genre!
So, here's two of his most famous songs:

Whee. _________________ This signature is a filler for a much cooler signature. |

Yeah his cool. He was in Israel this summer, I have no money, but a friend of mine went & had a blast. Actually, the Hasidic movement is all about song and dance. They had the best tunes in the Shtatle (town in Yiddish)... so his not VERY odd. He IS the first that went with the Rap thing all the way... _________________ "Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness."

WOAH. I just listened to Jerusalem, and was very confused, because I was knew that it wasn't in Hebrew. But I guess I assumed it would be in a different language because of the name? and then of course I looked it up and discovered that it was all in English. ooookay time for me to listen to it again.
Well, in my defense, I wasn't expecting the reggae style thing. I'm also just really really bad at understanding song lyrics in general. But that is pretty cool, I have to say. I like (But I'm not surprised he was brought up as a reconstructionist ) _________________ "I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance. "The firefly's?" said the minstrel.
"The spider's. The blinking arsonist had set the web on fire."

haha I heard one of his songs on the radio tonight (King Without a Crown, I think). Took me a minute to remember why it sounded familiar and what it was. I still like it It amuses me. _________________ "I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.
