I don't know how many folks visit the Talismen site any longer, but I've been trying to keep folks updated about developments regarding the novel "The Knightmare Knife" over there. I asked Barb if it would be okay to do so here, too, and she said, "Go for it."
Anyhoo...the editor and I just finished our corrections and signed off on the manuscript yesterday. The manuscript is now in the senior editor's hands for layout, and then it's off to the publisher himself, and after that TKK will be "golden" for sale. Lots of corrections going on the past two weeks, so hopefully that pace will continue and TKK will be out in the very near future. Again, the publisher is Mundania Press (www.mundania.com). I will be sure to post updates about the book here and at the Talismen website for anyone interested in buying it when it comes out.
Just as an add-on, in case anyone would be interested, I'm having a radio script produced by a company called Jim French Productions (www.harrynile.com). It's an original story featuring Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. I've since submitted three more scripts to JFP and hope to hear back some time soon on rather they have been accepted or not. I can post the broadcast date here when I find out if anyone's interested, as the show is syndicated on XM and across the U.S. and also in some other countires. |

Good luck Steve! I hope it will be published, be a great success, Be ship-ted (is this a word?) to Israel so I can sell it in my store!!! *cross fingers*
The radio thing sounds cool (have I mentioned I'm a big Sherlock girl? Been to his house, if he was real he would live there, and read all the stories 800 times). Is there any chance it will be podcast? even if I could listen to it somehow live, it will probably be out when I'm working/at a lesson/on the train or something... I would love to hear it though!
Good luck on that (and the ones you sent) too! _________________ "Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness."

Thanks, guys. I'm excited, too. I received an email this morning from Brenna, the senior editor, letting me know she definitely had the final corrected manuscript and was getting to work on it, so hopefully it won't be much longer.
Hagar, thanks for the nice comments. I believe Mundania offers a discount rate for bookstore owners. You can check the website or contact them to make sure. If nothing else, I could always order some copies using my author's discount and ship them to you, though I'd need to be reimbursed somehow. Anyway, I'm sure we can figure something out, no problem.
Oh, and regarding the radio broadcast, you can listen to every broadcast for a week at www.harrynile.com. What they do is wait one week after the show has been broadcast on the radio, and then post the broadcast for one week at their website. There is also a list of radio stations around the world that carries the program. Israel might be on there. In any way, you can definitely hear the broadcast. |

Hmm... The costs of shipping anything from the other side of the Atlantic are insane, but I'll keep an eye out for the possibility of getting it from UK or somehere else in Europe. I'd really like to read it. _________________ "You lopped his head off? Struck through his heart? Don't think of him as one of those vampires. Thanks Steve! I'll check that site when the show will be aired.
You know I don't OWN a book store, right? I work (among other jobs) at a book store, part of the Stimatzki chain. THEY decided what books to bring. I only sell them. I sell them very well, but I only do that. You may never know what will come though... _________________ "Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness."

Any news on the Talismen dead-tree front? _________________ "I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance. I had high hopes of being Evil when I was two, but in my youth I came upon a firefly burning in a spider's web. I saved the victim's life."
