Beautiful, sad movie. VERY evil villain (and I'm not talking about the White Man *shudder...*). It really wasn't what I expected, and it was heartbreaking...
NOT for children- I knew this going in, and my kids did not watch it with me.
The White Man was AWESOME. The eyeball thing. Oh My God.

I agree this is an exceptionally well done movie, and yes, very sad.
Warning to those who don't speak Spanish - it only has subtitles, no translation audio tracks. |

I REALLY NEED TO RENT THIS. (period).
It currently has a 96% on rotten tomatoes (a movie review site, for those who don't know it). Not a single bad review.
Must watch! Planning to tomorrow, actually. eeee! _________________ "Find what you're following and chase it down."

Have you had a chance to watch this yet, Kez? I just went for my second go-round last week (leaving for chocolate-covered raisins during the wine-bottle scene). It is indeed fabulous, and very, very emotional. There's one special effect that I'm dying to figure out. |

Indeed, a very disturbing, but beautiful film. It teetered between the grotesque and the frightening elements a whole lot. THE EYE THING AHHHHHHHHH.
But man, that root under the bed freaked me out more than anything. Is that normal? |

I still need to see this. And Spiderman 3. And a host of other movies. Sigh. I've never heard a single bad thing about this movie. _________________ The meaning to life is *censored!*

| I was actually cautioned by a friend of mine not to watch this due to the grotesque nature of some of the scenes (presumably the "wine bottle" and "eye thing" you all are discussing). |

*watched this now*
The eye scene isn't grotesque. But yes there are multiple grotesque scenes. If you can't handle gore. This is not for you.
SOOOooooo dark. And had this been made in america, the end never would have been done the same. I'm not saying that's bad. -I- liked the end. But the people I watched it with did not, because 'that just shouldn't be done in movies'.
Great movie. But not for the weak of heart or stomach. _________________ The meaning to life is *censored!*

Now I really have to watch this
And if I understand things right I will probably end up sleeping under the bed hiding from the monsters in my wardrobe after I watch it Ah well somethings are often worth the sleepless nights. _________________ "I am a proud Vampirate since I couldn't decide if I wanted to be a vampire or a pirate when I grew up. My friend and i REALLY wanted to go see this, but our other friend hates scary movies, so we didn't go see it in the movies....we tried to convince her it was about pink bunnies, but she didn't believe us !! Go figure. Anyhow, we're just waiting for a good dark and stormy night to have a sleepover and watch it and freak our friend out... _________________ Imagination is the greatest posession one can have.....I do believe in fairies, I do, I do
