Half the battle is figuring out in which order I want to post the comics. I have to do it very carefully because some of the inside jokes were established early on and I have to remember how they came about, otherwise people won't understand them.

Fun things time! Some concepts of the forms of the Four Winds. Only the North Wind's concept is solid.

The North Wind: a white "wolf" with black tipped fur, so he appears as solid black until he moves.


The South Wind: a "lion." His mane is lighter than his fur.


The West Wind: a "horse." He's a light blue/gray appaloosa. Yes, instead of one toe (a hoof) he's got three. Same family of odd-toes ungulates.


Man, I really got to work on my horses. And lions. And flowing hair. Mebbe I ought to be taking those art classes people keep telling me about. Who wants to learn about cancer anyways!?

You have such good clean line work- do you ink these or do use a wacom? I could never get the hang of the Wacom!

Aha hahah haha! I have clean lines, right! I don't believe you for a second, you flatterer, but thank you. I just got some new pens, but I'm ordering a Wacom...today actually! A late present from the folks. 6x11 widescreen...ooo, I'm so excited.

Yaaaaay! The forum is finally back! (in case you didn't notice...)

This is an image I made for someone on my forum in thanks for something he made for me. The Weapons Master is his favorite character^^



Firstly, allow me explain the significance of his battle headband (you know me, blah blah, everything has a backstory): rather than chevrons of rank on an arm, or insignia on the chest, those who lead men into battle on this planet where visible "headdresses." The colors and the number of wings are significant in that they denote stature. If a king were to go to battle, he'd have lots of those. Like a feather headdress. Indian-style.

But the WM of Ca-dalen doesn't like to be showy. He made it so that his colors (blue on black) denoted all there is to know--do as he says or he'll break your neck Wink. The black on the center point on his head and in the wings means it's war-time. If it were black with blue in the center, it would mean it's peace-time. The second, smaller wing stands for any allies that he is leading, or battalions directly under his control.

And I can never get the dude to smile. I can't even envision it. WEIRD.

Can anyone name the gun he's holding???
