I'll start!
Barb- I opened this thread just because the new banner is SO COOL. Only now I see that the old one was a bit sad & heavy, I don't know why. The eyes maybe. It was definitely darker.
This, this is just... I don't know what it is but I love it!!!
The letters (the X), the roses (are those..?), the yellow light behind it... it just so glowy, is THAT a word?, and nature and, and, and...

I didn't even notice the banner change until you brought it up. So much for being awake. I am probably still sleeping. Well Now that I have notice the banner change and had a chance to stare at it for awhile I got to agree with Hagar it is really pretty, I like it.

Very very cool! I noticed it when I logged on this afternoon and I like it a lot......unfortunately I can't really remember the old one that well (oopsies, need to sleep, oh, and pay attention) but I like it a lot. I liked the old one a lot too, but change is good. I think that was something from last year's English course - 'cahnge is good'....maybe i rephrased that a little...

ANYHOW, back on topic - I agree with both Hagar and Silvara, it is really very pretty (wow, originality!) um.... its gorgeous (no one said that yet right? Anyway its true)

And the symbol on the X is the same as the one on Charles' journal. Wonder what it's for.

I think it's the stone-work and 3-d of the words that I like the most now. That's what was bugging me before, the 2-d'ness of the last banner. There's some very nice, subtle shadow work on the stone as well. That plus the depth of the background of leaves and flowers is much more eye-catching. =)

Wow. I didn't noticed that. I join the others with the sleeping thing. Well, that will happen as soon as that stupid show will go up next week... ho wait. it's the first week of university. oh carpet! no sleep for me for a while...

& I also think the 3-d thing is cool. It's nice to have the first letter a "special" one. just like the T with Jen's candle at Talismen.

Hee hee...the forum headers for Xylia have not been really 'ta da'! type graphics, so I can see how they would go unnoticed. It's actually fun for me to see if anyone EVER notices.

Maybe next time I will have to do some shexy thing to get yer attention...

Yeah, special first letters are cool! And whilst I noticed the banner, I didn't notice that the thing on the X was the same as on the journal...(didn't pay much attention to the journal obviously.... *goes back to look* ahh, yes, I see) i just thught it looked cool. I like how the writing sorta appears to be something old someon's come across in the jungle. It gives it character. I like character!!
