One of the groovy things about my imac is the built in camera that lets me take reference shots mostly of my hands or light reference on my face. I don't have the greatest control of lighting environment - most of the time, a south window that reflects of one side of my face- or the night time reflection from the monitor. If necessary, I will shut down the lights and use lamps for extreme lighting reference, or use other stock photography shots.
A lot of times, I'm wearing my gigantinormous headphones, which make me look like I work in a recording studio. Oh yeah.
These are a few I took for reference for XYlia panels- see if you recognize any of the hand poses. ^_^ I'm also 'acting' out different characters in these photos- some I've used, some I haven't yet.
