Weirdly enough, not quite.
We're legal to drive at 16.
Legal to vote and serve at war at 18.
Legal to drink at 21.
Yup. That's right. We gain the right to manipulate large machines that travel at great speeds, make large decisions on our government, and even fight, kill, and possibly die for our country... long before we can have that first drop.
Kinda weird. Then again, I just don't drink at all. Ever. So meh. No biggie to me.

yeah, i found out today that not only can i drive (knew that already - not that out of it) but I can buy a KNIFE!!!

Feh. That's not national. In New York City, you can't get a full license until you're 17, and that's only if you take driver's ed - if you don't, you can't drive until you're 18. *bitter because I got my license in August but I still can't drive until November 19th because I didn't have time to do stupid driver's ed*

In some states, if you have farm tags, you can get one at 14.

I don't think it'd be legal if you moved to another state before their minimum age though.
