Is anyone else upset that they seem to have killed off The Master?

In a way yes, coz he was .... well ... he was THE MASTER!!!! But now its kinda back to the way it was, with the doctor the only Time Lord, coz he didn't know about his survival before


What I really loved about that episode was.............

JACK IS THE FACE OF BO!!!!!

when we got to that bit we were so shocked and excited it was soo cool! Coz they we were so involved in the master Jack sorta stayed in the background until the exposure at the end IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Can't say I was bummed by The Master biting it. I really didn't like how he was portrayed by the actor from "Life On Mars." It was good, but I think Jacoby was more on track before the transformation. The Master has always been dramatic, melodramtically so ("Come on, Doctor, it's as easy as pi!"), not like The Joker. What I'm wondering is if that was The Ranni at the end picking up his ring.

Jack as Bo? I thought that was awesome. I'm a huge Captain Jack fan, though I'm very uneven about TORCHWOOD so far. Why you have a WHO spin-off be so mature is beyond me. However, I'm being told by my "contacts" that season two of TORCHWOOD will be better than Season One. We'll see.

I don't know, I've been busy downloading the first season, and while I'm only into the first episode, I kinda like it so far. I mean, it's kind of geared towards the older Dr. Who audience, so it's going to be a bit silly in the beginning. I'm guessing they're going to ease into the maturity, as to not offend the fans.

I never really liked The Master, not when he transformed to his younger self. He was too "straight evil," complete with the horrible lines, like something out of bad Highlander movies. I like the Doctor on his own.

But Jack being the face of Bo...that was just more awesome that I can say. Slightly yucky, but Oh-so-awesome.

They were going to have Anthony Stewart Head play the master originally but he was doing something else at the time. That's the guy that played Giles on Buffy btw. I think the whole reason it wasn't played as well as it should have been was because it was a rushed rewrite for a different actor.

They need to get Anthony Hopkins or Christopher Walken to play some bad time lord. That would kick butt.

A cameo by Sean Connery would also make my day. Or year.

I don't think it's a ruse though. I hope the arc is over, 'cause I didn't like it too much. It needed less Martha and special effects, and more Doctor.

pfft. martha was hot.
