Pencil-scetches. How long do you use on one? Because, you know, that`s stuff I`d spend several days on and still mess up. I think I have already stated how much I love all this stuff. Especially Claude`s "hmmm"-expression in the first one is truly epic!

Then the hintage at the different time-stuff going on. I like time - especially when it is everywhere an nowhere (nope, do not expect anyone to understand me) And then all the touchy-feely gentle beey stuff....leaving us all with the same expression as Claude has in that mentioned first one...
Also, unfair that some oeioke can make blushes apparent with a few lines of pencil while others try forever and still only makes it look like it`s just very cold outside...(hmmpff)

I refuse to comment on the last one.

Last one needs a caption. Something like..

"Claude... I... I... I see a pimple on your nose."

Sorry, I forgot to answer this Ceri.
With pencil sketches I don't spend a lot of time. These are very fast drawings that I intend on inking later or just discarding. It takes me a bit of time to get up to 'creative speed' usually a half hour of doodling while I listen to some music and zone out. Once I'm
'in the zone' time varies depending on the detail and content of the drawings, but the ones of Xylia looking in the mirror or kissing Claude in the rain- something like that would take around five minutes.

The more elaborate ones take a bit longer, but not much. Like I said, pencil sketches are mostly for gesture and are done as quickly as possible to capture as much mood and expression as I can. When I start sketching slowly is when drawings go flat for me. And I have tried, but I can't do this on a Wacom. I just can't get the feeling down, so I gave it up. ^_^

Okay I really have to say it and I mean it only the best way possible, the fourth sketch with the cute embarrassed Claude...I don't know, there's something very Little Mermaid-esque about it to me. Maybe its the style, looks a little more Disney than manga in that one? Also Xylia's expression, I think, its so mischevious, very Ariel. Am I crazy or does anyone else see it, too? And again, I mean it totally as a compliment, I love the Little Mermaid!

Oh thank you!! I am a huge Disney fan, so that is a most honored compliment to me.

The sketch you are talking about- I thought the same thing after I drew it. ARIEL! Heee heee.....

Thanks again! And welcome to the forum!

I WANT THAT HAT!
And the dress too, but maybe in a different size. She's really thin...

How I love the sketchies...
