Thank you, one and all, for the kind reception - despite that my birthright and title as "Badger Lord" has not been made into a rank for the forum. ::points an accusing finger towards Barb::
Looking forward to popping in every now and then - I've also got some fan art brewing. Perhaps more mudmen as well.
And Steve, perhaps in the matter of football, the Badgers have slipped a little, but our rivalry goes deeper and you must confess that there is a solid,
spiritual superiority that the noble badger enjoys over the common hawkeye. It's simply the order of the universe and it must be acknowledged.
Count yourself fortunate that your place in the celestial hierarchy is not as low as that of the filthy "golden gopher" who we badgers must war with annually for the precious Paul Bunyan axe.
On a side note, the Hawkeyes were fortunate enough to play my current University (Northern Illinois) at Soldier's Field in Chicago. Wish I could have gotten tickets!
Strange Ian: As mentioned, sports are but one facet of this great conflict. But it is a difficult to explain to individuals not familiar with the Big Ten rivalries.
