Do I Have One of These?

Postby MisterSpook on Thu Sep 27, 2007 1:09 am

Guess not.

But anyway, hi! I'm Mister Spook. Some of you may remember me from the Talismen forum - in the way that I lurked in the darkness, watching you comment and generally carry on as forum goers do.

Big fan of Barb's. Love Xylia, miss Talismen.

Here's an obese mudman in jeans to make up the difference.

Edit: Oh yes, and I demand Barb give me the proper title of "Badger Lord! Destroyer of Hawkeyes!"

I love how he positions himself in the second frame, quite model-like...
Anyway: Welcome! Glad to see Slither updating!

Hey! Mister Spook! There you are! And, hey, that strip is...uh...sick, and not in the modern vernecular sort of way, either. :-)

As for slayer of Hawkeyes, our guys had you on the ropes there for awhile, eh? And I don't think your QB wants to see our defense again any time soon. But, honestly, your QB is one tough hombre, dude!

Ok, I've been trying to understand this... Is it sport talk of some kind? Or is it code for some secret government agency stuff?
*crosses fingers, hoping for agency stuff...*

Thank you, one and all, for the kind reception - despite that my birthright and title as "Badger Lord" has not been made into a rank for the forum. ::points an accusing finger towards Barb::

Looking forward to popping in every now and then - I've also got some fan art brewing. Perhaps more mudmen as well. ;)

And Steve, perhaps in the matter of football, the Badgers have slipped a little, but our rivalry goes deeper and you must confess that there is a solid, spiritual superiority that the noble badger enjoys over the common hawkeye. It's simply the order of the universe and it must be acknowledged.

Count yourself fortunate that your place in the celestial hierarchy is not as low as that of the filthy "golden gopher" who we badgers must war with annually for the precious Paul Bunyan axe.

On a side note, the Hawkeyes were fortunate enough to play my current University (Northern Illinois) at Soldier's Field in Chicago. Wish I could have gotten tickets!

Strange Ian: As mentioned, sports are but one facet of this great conflict. But it is a difficult to explain to individuals not familiar with the Big Ten rivalries.
