The forum that wouldn't let me post was a LOTR fan site forum. I'd try to post something and it would say that I needed to log in, so I would and it would say "thank you for logging in" but then when I went to post it would tell me again that I needed to log in (-.-)' so I finally gave up trying (no one replied to my emails about the problem either...)

And thanks for the advice about Photobucket, I thought I might have to do something like that... :D

Ahh but you're Swedish so you can't be too bad off, and I think crazy kinda runs in Swedish blood...I mean how crazy do you have to be the get in a big rowboat and row across the seas at all times of the year....(btw I'm a bit Swedish myself if you couldn't tell ;)

True...Not that I have tried do the whole sail the seas in a small rowboat thing, yet.
Watch out one day I might do just that. :D :P
Oh how delightful then you definatly will understand the insanity that lives here. And people says we swedes can't take over the world when we almost have done it already, we just haven't bragged about it that much.

Little does the Swede know that my plans are already underway, and my conquest shall be one for the history books

to burn. I guess. If people're still into that kind of thing. I mean, I set my algebra book on fire that one time, but...

Would that be the plan to flood the world in chicken related items, such as chicken clothing, chicken kitchen utensils, chicken drawings and chicken jokes? Because we've sort of caught up on that... And, personally, I wholly approve and support it.

About burning books: Could we just burn some teachers instead? I (well, my group) just had a presentation today, and the response we got was ALL about things we need to think about in the future, things we could have developed and generally questioning our choice of method, material, structure and sources. I mean, we need that too, certainly, but someone should tell us we did good! Just a little bit encouragement would have been very nice.

Okay I think I figured out how to post images....so here goes:

Ok so this is a drawing I did for a project for my History of Design class. The project was to design 4 items (funiture or other such home items) related to the two countries we had individualy studied-one of each country and then 2 that combine them. I studied Turkey and Tibet. So starting from left to right I have the Tibetan low sofa that I called Marpo, which means red in Tibetan; the large wood looking chair is the item for Turkey, I called it Koro Kutu, which means wood box in Turkish; the tapestry on the wall, which can also be a table runner, is the fusion piece of Tibet and Turkey and I called it Rstal Kumas, meaning art cloth in Tibetan and Turkish; and finally the jewelry box which was another fusion piece, which I called Rgyan Kutu, meaning jewelry bix in Tibetan and Turkish. I had to put all the design in a catolog form and those pages have more detail.

Hope you enjoy it!

oh wow!! That is really stunning! Really good work! I love the window especially, and how the pattern is echoed in the chair.

Thank you for sharing it!

Thanks Barb.

And sorry about the large format...I didn't even think to check the size...

The window was kinda last minute but I ended up liking it too. :D

Holycow!
That is so... so... wow.
I too like the window. & your colors, they are so warm.
I can see the Turkish parts- like the checkered pattern on the chair. Mother of pearl right?
I love the color of the walls as well- I can see it in the general design. Again, so warm. I actually have some furniture like that at home- my mom has a great sense of decor, & loves Turkish & eastern things.
If it was me, I would give you an A. What the hack- A+!

At the risk of making the entire forum wince and groan at me, were you at all interested in comments or questions about this illustration and the designs? If you were interested, what level of comment would you prefer? I could ask all the questions in my head or I could give a CommentLightTM.

Just thought I'd ask, as I tend to be wordy and that seems to put off some folk.

If you're not looking for any C&C, then I'll just say the first thing that popped into my head: I admire your bold use of color and rich pallet. Very bright and cheery. ;}
