I was checking Webcomic List (where Xylia has fallen from the teens to the eighties..sniff that's what you get with infrequent updates.)

Anyway- some hacker changed the title to 'Purple Lady' from XYlia.
This has me more than unnerved.

I contacted WCL to see what's going on. But if you do a search for XYlia, it wont come up. Search for Purple Lady.

Actually, anyone can go in and suggest a change in comic data, so it wasn't exactly a 'hack'. Those suggestions have to be 'approved' internally by Ash or someone helping him, but as they generally cannot police everything, most things probably get approved.

I've already used the same method to request the name be put back to Xylia (because I too wondered what "Purple Lady" was). My pure speculation is that Barbosa was probably having some fun at the comic's expense, but that is purely a guess based on the animosity of his posts on that site. It could have been someone else just having fun, such as what happened with Dilbert a few months back. (It went through around 5-10 name changes, as I recall; "Dilbreath", "Dilweed", and several more.)

Not a huge issue to worry about, except for the loss of searchability on the name "Xylia" while it's changed. The ad you purchased will still work. The name should get changed back soon. If it happens again, we may have to ask Ash to check the IP of the person requesting the change to Purple Lady and make sure that requests from that IP are no longer 'approved'.

Sorry. But you've got to admit it's a pretty interesting description of Xylia. After all, her hair is purple, and that's what stands out first when you see her.

Thank you for checking on this Liria, I still havent heard from Ash and nothing has changed, so it's still Purple Lady.

Actually kind of cool, and I may throw that in the story at one point as a joke.

Along with the chickens.

I love inside jokes! Especially when they superly confound someone and they get frustrated!!! We've had one going since year 9, and we haven't told one of my friends becuse she desperately wants to know, so of course, we never told her and we still confuse the heck out of her! (It has to do with peanuts....don't ask)
