The few chosen ones I read

If you are here, you are a webcomic buff. What are some of your faves?

If that comic gets you hooked, it's going to take you a while to get to the bottom of the list. :P Maybe I shouldn't have left Alfheim to the last...

The most recommended from the whole list would be Errant Story, Alfheim, Sorcery 101, Goblins, The Gods of Arr-Kelaan and No Need for Bushido - in that order. All of them are good, most of them are great, but these are the best of all.

Outside the list there is one comics that belong in the "best of all": The Phoenix Requiem. I'm just assuming you all know it, so I haven't listed it. I believe Xylia will some day be one of these, too.

Ratings for webcomics would be nice. As I don't care to end up on the more mature places while following a link. (Then again, I think Barb's policy basically says not to post any webcomic that has nudity and the like in it).

But you get my point! Always nice to know which webcomics not to follow links to. >>

Hmm... I don't usually read those kind of webcomics. In none of the comics in the list does fanservice get out of hand, but you might want to avoid Last Blood for being a bit on the bloody side. And maybe Goblins, too.

That's a cool list - I've read a fair number of them. A good indication I should check out the others too, huh?

I like Fey Winds a lot more than you do, I think. Hm. I really like her art. The style just really appeals to me. I've also been following it for forever - (since the first version, and when she was still doing Bulletproof) - so I really see the improvement as well. I guess I just really like it - for the art, and the humor. And I think there may be more originality in the story line as we get further in - it's also in the fairly early part of the plot.

I agree on The Dreamer too - I found it through TomGeeks, actually :-P 'Tis quite pretty. And Roza too, of course. It's amazing how it feels like it's still so much in the beginning stages, but is still so intriguing and feels so full. Kind of what you were saying before. (I generally don't stick with comics that are just beginning - I'll usually read them, and then come back a couple of months later or something, and see if I like them. 'Cept Xylia of course. Because it's amazing.)

Definitely second Errant Story! I kind of lost track of it for a while, because the story is long and extensive (and I had been following it for a while, and at some point I just forgot what they were doing in the first place) - but I reread the archives fairly recently, and it really is a good story.

Could never get into Aoi House. I tried at one point. Guess it's not quite my type. (Then again, that was a while ago.)

Hehe. Whenever I see other people's lists, I always get the urge to make my own. I should do that. ^^

EDIT: I did not mean to comment on like half of your list. Sorry! But it's fun :)

"The firefly's?" said the minstrel.
"The spider's. The blinking arsonist had set the web on fire."

The webcomic I check first is always Questionable Content (as you can see from my banner :)). QC was my introduction into the webcomic world, as a matter of fact. I had no idea they existed until then. From the sounds of things, I have a lot of checking up to do.

Another fav of mine would have to be A Miracle of Science (http://project-apollo.net/mos/index.html), a brilliant piece of work mixing humor, space opera, and a little dash of wit into a great story. Check it out.

Let's see...FeyWinds I've been keeping track of. Cascadia I used to follow but then it went on hiatus for a long while so I stopped keeping track of it (or am I thinking of a different comic?) Applegeeks I haven't followed in forever - I need to get back on that. The only problem is their website is so hard to navigate: the archives are a real pain in the ***.

There used to be a whole bunch that I followed...Inverloch was one of my favorites, of course. :)

I forgot - Errant Story does have cursing, and I think one panel of semi-nudity. So that, at least, is PG-13.
