Well, that vote incentive has done a good job on getting XYlia up on TWC.
Thank you for the votes, gang, we are currently sitting at 22! Not bad for seven pages. Not bad!

Sarah's banner on her main page of Inverloch was the clincher though, 21,000 hits on Thursday. Wow. Xylia has jumped to #8 in all DD stories. I wasn't planning on this happening for a while. Actually I didn't knwo she was going to do that at all!!!

A few people have expressed interest in link exchanges, and told me I need to advertise more, but I actually had a plan in mind to not do any advertising until I had at least twenty pages in the archive. getting folks to come to the site isnt too hard.

Keeping readers is the challenge.

Congrats on the increasing stats Barb, I can imagine you feel a little unfomfy because you just started.
In my opinion the comics` beginning is allready very good. It`s mysterious, in a good way...the artwork is awesome and the characters are inviting. If that makes people interested (and I think it does), they`ll stay.
Personally, a flashback sounds really nice and fur is always good.

Henrike- 'uncomfy' I think you mean? I think? And yes, I do feel uncomfortable. I kind of wanted to build Xylia up more slowly to give myself an archive, character pages, etc. and time for me to know the characters more. But BAM! Starting out here is cool, but tough. Very visible. It's exciting, but scary. Hard to make mistakes without everyone leaping on top of them.

But I have my forum friends to keep me from freaking out, right?

I don't think it'll be too difficult to keep the readers. Many of them probably already read Talismen, and your art alone is exceptional. And even if there'll probably be a bit slower times ahead, the traffic will probably pick up again later. You don't need to keep them all here, they'll return on their own once there's more stuff to read and you begin advertising seriously.

What woman? You mean there's another important female character besides Xylia coming up soon? Now you got me curious.
